Debut Single ‘Minne’ – A wordless celebration on love and legend.

We’re excited to share Minne — our very first single.

This instrumental track marks the beginning of Laguz’s musical journey and serves as a quiet celebration of the timeless love story of Tristan and Isolde. At its heart are two flutes, moving in sync to carry a gentle, flowing melody. They’re supported by plucked strings — harp and guitars — along with the subtle rhythm of a darbukka, creating a warm and textured soundscape.

The title Minne comes from an old Germanic and Dutch word for love, the kind of love that transcends the everyday and feels almost otherworldly. We wanted this music to feel reflective, like a memory or a quiet moment where something important is being felt, but not spoken.

This piece was written by Kasper, and it blends traditional folk influences with our own unique approach to sound. The gentle interplay between the instruments creates a sense of calm and space, with each note carrying its weight in the story we're telling.

As Kasper shares:
“We wanted to create something that speaks without words — a piece that gives space for reflection. ‘Minne’ is a small beginning, but one that already holds many years of thought and sound behind it.”

Minne was recorded during a special weekend spent at the beautiful Volver Studio. Nestled near the La Trappe breweries in Tilburg, the studio provided the perfect environment for us to get creative and capture the essence of our vision. It was a chance to connect with the music in a relaxed, inspiring space, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to create in such a lovely setting as part of the Volver Sound Academy program.

Minne is available now on all major streaming platforms. We hope it gives you a moment of quiet reflection. Thanks for listening, and we’re so glad to have you with us on this journey.
